Clinical Research

The term clinical research refers to the entire biography of a drug from its inception in the lab to its introduction to the consumer market and beyond. Once the promising candidate or the molecule is identified in the lab, it is subjected to pre-clinical studies or animal studies where different aspects of the drug (including its efficacy and toxicity) are studied.

Smile India has been involved in a no. of clinical trials in the past years. In fact, during the inception of Smile India, clinical research was a key feature in its various functions.

The most recent study done at Smile India was of toothpaste, Baksodent, in collaboration with Bakson Drugs & Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. The study was directed towards the efficacy of the toothpaste on plaque control & gingivitis. The cases were  studied over a period of 7 months and over 50 cases were studied under able investigators.

Smile India wishes to do more clinical studies & trials in order to benefit the masses by delivering of the best possible products at affordable costs. Our trials are aimed at the betterment of the society.
